Case Study - Competency Based Assessment
Drawing upon our in-house and agency experience, we assisted a Super Major with the development and global roll-out of a competency based assessment framework. This included the creation of a range of products designed to enable Line and HR Managers to identify, prioritise and accurately assess the must-have technical and behavioural competencies for each role.
Whilst it was important to protect the fundamentals of Competency Based Assessment, we had to make sure the methodology was fit-for-purpose for each of the regions. Our team of Occupational Psychologists and Diversity experts tailored each of the products to suit their audience. In turn, we ran a series of assessor training workshops and we continue to provide coaching and support to protect the quality of the assessor pool.
By introducing a more uniform approach to their assessment process, our client is now able to assess larger numbers and their cycle times have been greatly reduced. In addition, candidates have a more positive assessment experience, hiring decisions are now evidence based and auditable and the right skills are being matched to the right roles from the outset.
